Abstract
952,125. Children's garments. B. S. WALTHO. Oct. 16, 1962 [Nov. 13, 1961; Jan 24, 1962], Nos. 40515/61 and 2616/62. Heading A3V. A child's garment comprises a sleeping bag which can open and close at the bottom, and is of adjustable length. The body part 8 (Fig. 9) is closed down the front by a sliding clasp fastener 10 the tapes of which are mutually separable at the lower end. Clasp fasteners 12, 13, meeting at point 11 close the bottom of the garment. Adjustable shoulder straps 14 stitched to the garment at 15 pass through hooks 17 (Fig. 10) on the shoulders in order to hold the lower part of the garment in a raised position. The length of straps 14 is varied by adjustable clip 16. Other length adjusting means are described in one embodiment, hooks are provided on the lower part of the garment and engage eyes or holes at different levels on the upper part of the garment (Figs. 13 and 14 not shown), a further means comprises a single strap attached at one end to the garment, passing through a loop on one shoulder then downwards through a loop on the back lower part of the garment, upwards through the second shoulder loop and finally going downwards to a securing clip on the front (Figs. 11 and 12 not shown). The bottom of the garment may be closed by other means e.g. studs or buttons. If a single sliding clasp fastener is used the garment is undivided at its lower part.
