Abstract
950,105. Snap-action switches; retractive switches. G. KRONE. Dec. 6, 1961 [Dec. 20, 1960], No. 43659/61. Heading H2B. A multiple snap-action switch comprises several identical contact sets 12a, 12b, 12c assembled in spaced parallel array between the two parts of an insulating housing 13a, 13b, each set comprising at least one fixed contact 11; a movable contact spring 9a; an operating spring 9b and a semi-circular snap spring 10, and all sets having a common operating member 19a which is supported on a spring 22. The switch may be retractive or stable in both positions according to whether a strong or very weak spring 22 is employed. The contact and operating springs 9a, 9b are formed as parts of a single leaf spring 9 and this spring 9 and each fixed contact member carry spring arms 15, 16 for engagement with printed circuit elements 25 on a base board 26 on which the housing is mounted. A dust cover 23 forming part of the upper housing member 13b may be removable or transparent for inspection purposes.
