949,450. Insulation for dynamo-electric machines. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. Nov. 21, 1962 [Dec. 9, 1961], No. 43999/62. Heading H2A. [Also in Division H1] The primary and secondary coils 13, 14 of an ignition armature are impregnated with a thermo-setting resin and enclosed in a moulded cover 16, also of thermo-setting resin, but containing a solid filler to expedite curing. The resin may be polyester or epoxy and, when used in the cover, may contain 20-80% pulverulent material and/or 5-35% fibrous material. For example, 60% calcium carbonate, quartz, kaolin, mica, talcum, or heavy spar; and 5% glass, asbestos, cotton, sisal or synthetic fibres may be used. Moulding may be improved by 1% zinc stearate.
