Abstract
948,987. Valves. PORRINGER & SCHINDLER G.m.b.H. Jan. 29, 1962 [Jan. 31, 1961], No. 3284/62. Addition to 891,773. Heading F2V. A valve as described and claimed in the parent Specification is modified by having the closure member 3 with its guides 5 partly surrounded by resilient material 17 which at 18 is joined, e.g. by vulcanizing, to the pressure member 10 whereby on actuation of spindle 13 to close the valve the part 17 seals with the bottom and side walls of the pipe 1 and continued downward movement of member 10 distorts material at 18 to seal perpendicularly on the top valve housing walls.
