Abstract
948,943. Mixing liquids in proportion. SALIP WARDEN & CO. Ltd., D. S. A. HICK, and BECKER EQUIPMENT & LIFTS Ltd. May 14, 1962 [Feb. 13, 1961], No. 1568/61. Heading B1C. [Also in Division Fl] Apparatus for delivering a mixture of two liquids, e.g. a resin and a liquid hardener, in adjustable proportions comprises reciprocating pumps 220 and 221, Fig. 13, actuated by a hydraulic or air motor 229 through a rocker 232 (see Division F1), the pump outputs being adjustable independently by adjustable stops 256, 257 engageable with the upper ends of the pump piston rods to limit their strokes. The pumps deliver to a common outlet 252 through a mixing chamber 241 removably mounted over a stirrer 245, Fig. 20. The stirrer comprises an electric or air motor-driven shaft 245 having projections 247 along its length located between projections within chamber 241. A spring 250 biases shaft 245 from an end bearing 249. In another embodiment, Fig. 9, the stirrer comprises a rotatable shaft 119 carrying circular discs 123.
