948,005. Colour television tubes. COMPAGNIE DE SAINT-GOBAIN. May 2, 1960 [April 30, 1959], No. 15426/60. Heading H1D. A screen for a cathode-ray tube for use in colour television receivers comprises a glass base provided with a plurality of spaced-apart opaque bands, a transparent, electrically conductive layer coating the base and the opaque bands and a plurality of transparent electrically non-conductive colour filter triads, each coating the portion of the conductive layer extending between a pair of adjacent bands, the whole area of the screen being covered with a white luminescent layer. The parts of the conducting layer between adjacent triads form a colourselection grid the elements of which are interconnected by the parts of the conducting layer lying under the triads. The triads and the opaque bands may be composed of enamel.
