A turf working machine comprises a turf slitter unit 15 mounted in front of a mower unit 13, both units being driven by a power unit 18. The slitter unit is mounted on an axle 17 which is driven by the motor and drives the mower unit through gears 18-21. The height of the mower unit 13 and depth of engagement of the slitter blades 15 may be adjustable. Specification 883,824 is referred to.
