Abstract

944,281. Inking-apparatus. BROOKHIRST IGRANIC Ltd. June 27, 1960 [July 29, 1959], No. 22409/60. Drawings to Specification. Heading B6C. In a printing-machine having an inking roller train, there is positioned, at the exit of the nip of each pair of rollers where ink mist might escape, a wire which is electrically charged to produce a corona discharge, having the effect of forcing the ink particles back on to the rollers. The wire is connected to a circuit whereby D.C. potential of either polarity or A.C. potential may be applied.
