Abstract

943,879. Blow-moulding hollow plastic articles. W. BATTENFELD. April 12, 1961 [April 12, 1960], No. 5485/63. Divided out of 943,878. Heading B5A. In the blow-moulding of e.g. a bottle, a label 15 is positioned in the mould by a plunger 19 which has suction passages 19 to hold the label. The plunger may be inserted varying distances into the mould to form either a projection or depression in the bottle. The edge 23 of the plunger may co-operate with an edge 24 on the mould to cut the label from a continuously fed sheet. A ring 20 strips the waste from the sheet.
