Abstract

943,214. Shelf-supporting brackets. YSTAD-METALL A.B. March 15, 1960 [March 16, 1959], No. 9146/60. Heading A4B. A bracket for use as a shelf support on a channel section upright 10 having lateral flanges 12 turned in to face each other comprises a body portion 1 of U-shaped cross-section having both sides at the one end provided with limbs 4 engaging the channel section, the sides of the body portion 1 adjacent the limbs 4 being interconnected by means of a screw 9 having left and right hand threads in order to force the limbs 4 apart towards the lateral flanges 12 of the channel section and the limbs 4 being shaped to closely embrace the flanges 12 on three sides of the same. In a modification shown in Fig. 3 each limb has a U-shaped projection 14 which includes a shoulder to engage the inside face of the turned in flanges 12 of the section 10.
