Abstract
941,827. Photocopying processes. KALLE A. G. July 1,1960 [July 8, 1959], No. 23092/60. Heading G2C. Reflex copying by infra-red radiation is effected by so exposing the base side of a heat sensitive element having a coating of pigmented wax as on its other side and which is in contact with a thin copy receiving sheet, the other side of which is in contact with a master to be copied. In Example 1 the sequence is thin wax base paper with coating comprising carnauba wax, mineral oil and Sudan Blue, thin paper or cellulose acetate foil as copy receiving sheet and then the master, to produce a blue image corresponding to the master on the receiving sheet. Other examples include references to tissue paper and cellulose hydrate foil coated with dyed synthetic waxes for use as heat sensitive elements, and numerous foils usable as either bases or copy receiving sheets are listed. Use of metal as receiving sheet in a second transfer process and etching thereof to make a printing plate is indicated.
