An alloy suitable for the production of sheet material capable of being welded, particularly in the production of gas turbine parts, contains in percentage by weight <TABS:0941500/C3/1> The alloy is solution treated for 5 to 60 minutes within the range 1080-1200 DEG C., followed by ageing for 4 to 20 hours in the range 700-850 DEG C.
