Abstract

941,134. Washing machines. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. March 14, 1961 [March 14, 1960], No. 8930/60. Heading D1A. A door for a washing machine is made of moulded plastic material, a central part being transparent in the form of a window whilst the remainder is opaque. As shown, a door 1 of circular shape is a single moulding of transparent plastic material including hinge members 7 and a handgrip 8. Parts 2, 3, 4 are made opaque by application of paint leaving a window 5. Alternatively, the parts 2, 3, 4 may be of moulded opaque plastic material with a window moulded into them, or separately moulded and attached by an adhesive.
