Abstract

939,396. Moulded pulp boxes. DIAMOND NATIONAL CORPORATION. April 2, 1962 [June 19, 1961], No. 12593/62. Class 18. A nestable moulded pulp box or tray has a plurality of ventilating slots 24 provided in each side wall a portion of each slot extending into the bottom wall. Between each adjacent pair of slots in the side wall is a fluted strengthening rib 28 extending from the bottom wall upwardly to a shoulder 30 extending around the periphery of the container. The containers have the side walls inclined outwardly to a shoulder 30 and then inwardly to the upper edge, so that they rest without frictional engagement of the side walls, the upper edge 32 of each container engaging the shoulder 30 of the one above.
