Abstract
939,352. Agricultural implements. HOLDER G.m.b.H. GRUNBACH. March 3, 1961 [April 1, 1960], No. 7795/61. Class 6(1). A rotary hoe which may be mounted to one side of or directly behind a tractor comprises hoes 253 mounted on a tube 25 driven by a shaft 251 which is driven by chain gearing in a casing 23 from a shaft 221 which is driven by bevel gearing 213 from a tractor shaft 212. The shaft 251 and tube 25 are mounted between the casing 23 and a plate 24 and the shaft 221 is enclosed by two tubes 22 having flanges 222 so arranged that the gear casing 211 may be fitted between the flanges 222. A slide shoe 26 is provided through which an adjustable brake skid extends. In a modification the shaft 221 extends across the full length of the tubes 22 so that the hoe may extend on either side of the tractor.
