Abstract
936,891. Couplings. RADYNE Ltd. May 9, 1962 [Feb. 14, 1961; Jan. 12, 1962], Nos. 5464/61 and 1257/62. Addition to 909,009. Class 38 (1). Interference from a high frequency heating apparatus is reduced by providing it with a casing 8 and a cover 5, the casing carrying a stainless steel tube 15 fixed to a lip 7 and the cover carrying a channel 4, 6 containing springs 9, 10 which contact the tube 15. The springs tend to push the cover upwards but it is held down by an electromagnetic catch 11. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), the tops of the springs are bent towards each other to increase the separating force. In a further modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), the tube 15 and the lip 7 are replaced by a tongue of tapered crosssection. The springs may be mounted on the lip 7 instead of the channel or both channel and lip may be provided with springs. Specification 622,774 also is referred to.
