Abstract

934,958. Cable clips. HELLERMANN Ltd. Aug. 22, 1960 [Sept. 10, 1959], No. 30932/59. Class 36. [Also in Group XXV] A strap for cables or other elongate elements comprises an elongate bendable tail part 13 which has a number of integral protrusions 14 spaced apart from one another along its length, and an eye part 15 secured to the tail part and having a non-rectangular hole, a first portion 17 of which hole is sufficiently large to permit passage therethrough of the tail part but not of the protrusions themselves, and a second portion 16 of which hole lying nearer the tail part than the first part of the hole is sufficiently large to permit passage of the protrusions therethrough without twisting the tail part, the arrangement being such that the tail part between the protrusions can pass from one portion of the hole to the other portion. Between the two hole portions 16, 17 is a throat 18 and the resiliency of the material from which the strap is made (e.g. polyethylene) is sufficient to permit passage of the tail parts between the protrusions.
