Abstract

933,892. Spring upholstery. NO-SAG SPRING CO. (GREAT BRITAIN) Ltd. June 8, 1962 [June 23, 1961], No. 22821/61. Class 52 (4). A spring unit for seats and seat-backs comprises an assembly of substantially flat springs 4 embedded in an elastic body 1, e.g. of foamed plastics, rubber or other like synthetic material, the springs 4 being disposed in spaced, parallel relation and each having at one or both ends 6 a V-conformation. The springs 4 are introduced during the moulding of the body 1 which may include rim portions 8 having embedded therein one or both V-ends 6. A wire 7 may connect opposed ends 6. Non-sinuous wires may extend at right angles to the springs 4 to criss-cross therewith.
