Abstract
932,916. Strain-taking device for flexible leads; carrying conductors through partitions. PAUL HELLEBMANN G.m.b.H. Sept. 22, 1960 [Sept. 23, 1959], No. 32587/60. Classes 36 and 38 (1). A sleeve assembly for anchoring an electrical conductor comprises a resilient sleeve member 6 (Fig. 4), and a bush 2 of metal or shrinkable synthetic material, which is pushed on to the conductor 1 and secured thereto and has a projecting collar flange 3 at one point. The sleeve assembly may be attached to the conductor by first securing the bush on the conductor 1 by clamping it as shown, or alternatively, by means of suitably directed teeth on its inner surface (Figs. 6, 8, not shown), and then sliding the sleeve member on to the bush. The sleeve member may be retained on the bush, against the collar flange 3, by an outward turned lip on the end of the bush (Fig. 8, not shown), or by suitably directed teeth on the outer surface of the bush (Fig. 6, not shown). Alternatively (Fig. 9), the bush, with outwardturned lip 9, may be permanently attached to and partially extend from the sleeve member, easier application of the sleeve assembly over the conductor being obtained by means of clearance 12 between the two, after which the protruding part of the bush 10 is clamped around the conductor.
