Abstract

932,882. Load carriers. A. D. SIDDALL. Dec. 4, 1961 [Sept. 5, 1960], No. 27155/60. Class 141. [Also in Group XVII] A knapsack and frame, comprises an arcuate frame (Fig. 2), preferably of fibre-glass, transverse straps b and b<SP>4</SP> pivotally mounted as shown in Fig. 8 or 9 to the flanges of the frame, shoulder straps C, the upper ends of which are pivotally secured to a rod or pins secured to the frame and a knapsack strapped to the frame and tapering from top to bottom so that it is at the base half the width from back to front of the mouth opening. The frame also carries hip straps c<SP>3</SP> and the shoulder straps C may have cords and hand-grips c<SP>4</SP> attached thereto.
