Abstract

932,182. Scaffolding. E. R. HELLGREN. Oct. 19, 1961 [Oct. 21, 1960], No. 37576/61. Class 20 (2). A working platform for a chimney &c. is supported on brackets 24 hung on a wire cable C. The cable is threaded through blocks spacing it from the chimney, the brackets 24 are hung by hooks 26 on the cable and the spacer blocks are hung on hooks driven into the masonry. The position of the brackets is adjusted by an adjustable foot 31 engaging the chimney. Railings are mounted on spigots 28 on the brackets. A higher or lower platform is erected or dismantled from the erected platform as work on the chimney progresses. Some platforms 36 have provision for erection of a ladder 35 connecting a number of platforms.
