Abstract
A vibrator, 14, having a polygonal section is supported by two support members 24a, 24b mounted at or near the nodal points of the body, said support members being equally spaced from the ends of the body e.g. at a distance 0.224 x the length of the body in the case of the figure shown. The body having associated with it piezo electric elements 16 for maintaining vibration and or measuring deflection due to a rotational force. <IMAGE>
