Abstract

928,986. Sponge mops. BETTERWEAR PRODUCTS Ltd. April 10, 1962, No. 13855/62. Addition to 819,299. Class 19. The sponge mop disclosed in the parent Specification is modified by substituting for the two blocks and flexible material secured thereto a single block with at least one groove in the upper surface thereof. Preferably two grooves 15, 16 of V-shaped cross-section run; parallel to the longer sides, the full length of the block 9, to divide the block into three substantially equal parts 17, 18, 19. The grooves are of sufficient depth to allow the block, 9 to be bent along these grooves so that a sponge 20 may be squeezed by folding the parts 17 and 19 through 90 degrees with respect to the part 18. The modifications disclosed in Specifications 918,539, 920,057 are also included in the embodiment illustrated. Specification 833,138 also is referred to.
