[Also in Group XX] A light-transmitting anti-dazzle material comprises two superimposed layers of wire mesh, wire gauze, or gauze-like woven textile material, the layers being positioned so that the strands forming the mesh of one layer lie across the interstices of the second layer, the angle between equivalent strands of the two layers being from 15 to 75 degrees, preferably 45 degrees, and both layers being selected or treated so that they present a wholly matt appearance. The matt finish may be obtained by spraying with a flat black paint. The mesh may be a mild steel gauze of 30 to 50 mesh per inch, and the wire may be from 0.0076 to 0.0108 inch in diameter. The double layer may be formed from a single piece of material bent over to the required angle, and the layers may be held together by a frame.
