928,684. Focusing lens mount. COMPAGNIE FRANCAISE THOMSONHOUSTON. Oct. 29, 1959 [Oct. 29, 1958], No. 36760/59. Class 97 (1). [Also in Group XXIV] For focusing and varying the focal length of a television camera objective 2, a shaft 10 is rotatable about its axis and displaceable angularly about a constant velocity-ratio universal joint 10a. Rotation of the shaft 10 causes rotation of a toothed focusing ring 7 on the objective 2 by driving through the joint 10a a shaft 12 coupled by a belt or chain drive 16 to a shaft 17 having a pinion meshing the toothed ring 7. Angular displacement of the shaft 10 about the joint 10a in the plane of the figure causes a link 19 connected to the shaft by a fork joint 20 to rotate a lever 5 that moves the lenses 4 axially to alter the focal length of the objective 2.
