Abstract

927,932. Filing papers. E. N. MASON & SONS Ltd. Sept. 21, 1959 [Sept. 22, 1958], No. 30262/58. Class 146 (1). A compressor or partition for a drawer comprises a hollow body member 2, 3, housing displaceable channel-shaped end members 6, secured to the body member by pin-and-slot connections 8, 9, so that on pressing the members 6 downwards against the bottom of the drawer, they move outwards to engage the side walls of the drawer and wedge the compressor or partition in position. Rubber friction pads are secured to the sides and undersides of the members 6. The slots 8 may be open-ended, Fig. 3 (not shown), to facilitate assembly. The body and end members are formed from sheet metal or the body member is formed from wood.
