Abstract

927,917. Lattice girders. E. CVIKL. Jan. 29, 1960 [Feb. 4, 1959], No. 3248/60. Class 20 (2). [Also in Group XXII] A lattice girder is made by welding rods or tubes to form lattice panels having outer longitudinal members and subsequently welding together the outer longitudinal members of three or more panels. Each panel consists of spaced outer longitudinal members 2 welded as by resistance welding electrodes 5 to the apices of a lattice member 1 of zig-zag, wave or N- shaped pattern. Three or more panels, as shown in Figs. 10 and 12, may be welded together to form say a beam, a purlin or a mast. The members 2 may be parallel, inclined or curved. The members 1 and 2 may be of any section, e.g. hexagonal, rectangular, tubular, and of any weldable material, e.g. steel, aluminium or plastic.
