Abstract
926,588. Feeding webs. DYMO INDUSTRIES Inc. March 24, 1961, No. 10780/61 Class 100 (1). [Also in Group XXIII] A tape magazine 12 for a hand-embossing device has first and second sections 18, 19 hinged together by a flexible membrane 21, each section have a planar base 22 and a peripheral wall 24. Bosses 38 of the section 18 have apertures 39 to receive studs 41 projecting from bosses 38 of the other section to maintain the sections in closed position. The magazine has an extension 26 provided with flanges 27 secured together by studs 41 engaging apertures 39 to form a passage along which tape 14 is fed from a roll 16 by rollers 56 actuated by a knurled hand wheel 57. Marking or embossing dies 58 are actuated by a handle 52 to mark the strip tape. The tape is cut into lengths by cutter 59 after marking or embossing. The magazine 12 is secured to the body 51 by studs 47 engaging apertures 63, Fig. 3 (not shown). Modified magazines are described with reference to Figs. 9 and 14 (not shown).
