925,164. Decimal electric calculating apparatus. BELL PUNCH CO. Ltd. June 15, 1959, No. 23405/61. Divided out of 925,161. Class 106 (1). The display of the contents of a decimal register of a keyboardoperated calculating machine includes a counter-operated decimalpoint indicator, which as shown, comprises a 12-cathode counting tube DD with 11 neon indicators DL1-DL11 disposed intermediate 12 decimal-digit display tubes. Eleven keys DK1-DK11 are provided for entering the position of the decimal point (if none is operated the glow in DD rests on cathode O, no display, decimal point to right of entered digits), and when the calculator is set for multiplication the discharge in DD remains stationary as successive multiplier digit keys are depressed to shift the partial product up until a decimal point DKM key is depressed whereafter a Z pulse produced at each cycle steps the decimal point along with the partial product. The calculating machine is described fully in Specification 925,161.
