Abstract

In a mixture of calcined caustic magnesite (containing not less than 84% of magnesia and not more than 0,5% of ferric oxide) and calcium oxide or precursor therefor there is included ferric oxide or precursor therefor and (or) nickle oxide or precursor therefor which is calcined so that the product contains 0,1-2% of free lime and at least 1,5% of ferric oxide and (or) nickel.
