A handle of metallic or non-metallic material for a container 40, Fig. 1, or 72, Fig. 20, e.g. a a bottle or tin, to facilitate pouring of the contents comprises arms 46, 47, a ring 50 and a base plate 48, an upright part 45 and a hand grip 52, the ring being formed integral with the arm 46 and the upright part 45. The ring may be formed with a slit, Fig. 4 (not shown), for use with a bottle, or have a flange 77, Fig. 20, or tabs adapted to fit inside the rim of the container. The base plate may bear a flange or tabs 63 to hold the container in its fitted position. The device may be suspended by a nail 91.
