Abstract

918,612. Clocks. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. April 28, 1960 [May 21, 1959], No. 14925/60. Class 139. In an electric clock a synchronous motor 14, Fig. 2, drives the hands 26, 28, 30 through a reduction gear train 20 and the same motor or a second motor drives an imitation pendulum 36 through a cam and linkage mechanism 60, 40. The pendulum is pivoted to a horizontal link 42 and its lower and and bob are visible below the clock casing 12. The link 46 has a pin 62 which engages a sinusoidal or wavy groove 64 on the face of the cam.
