[Also in Group XXVIII] Each of a plurality of rectangular filter units 1, Fig. 1, arranged in parallel across a particle-laden fluid duct is supported along two opposite sides by a single or by a pair of tubular polygon-section struts 5 two sides 8, 10, Fig. 2, of which are inclined at an angle of 270 degrees and have a channel 6 therebetween holding a packing 9; each of the remaining two opposite sides of the unit being in sealing engagement with a U-shaped fillet 20 secured to the wall 19 of the duct, As shown each filter unit may be slid laterally between the struts 5 drawer-fashion but in a modification the units are screwed to the struts. In a further modification the units are arranged to lie in a common plane.
