917,983. Ventilators. DENROCHE, C. H. P. Nov. 30, 1961 [Aug. 30, 1960], No. 29851/60. Class 137. A louvred panel comprises spaced vertical strips S, each having a series of inclined slots 10 through it and a longitudinal tunnel 12 passing through the slots, a series of horizontal bass or slats passing through aligned slots 10 in the strips, and a locking rod 13 passing through the tunnel 12 of each strip and through corresponding elongated holes (Fig. 6, not shown) in the horizontal bars. The vertical strips S (Figs. 3 and 5) may be formed from sheet metal by stamping two series of slots (Fig. 2, not shown) symmetrically about a centreline in pairs V- fashion, forming semicircular channels through the slots, parallel to the centreline, and folding the sheet about the centreline so that the two slots of a pair come together, and the two channels together form the circular tunnel 12. The centreline may be offset slightly from the geometric centre line of the sheet, so that the excess width of one edge may be folded round the other edge (Fig. 5). The strips may alternatively be formed by extruding or moulding processes.
