915,695. Sewing-machines. FRATELLI BORLETTI S.p.A. June 24, 1960 [June 26, 1959], No. 22284/60. Class 112. A work-feeding device in a sewing-machine comprises a rockable feed drive member 24 fixed to a feed advance shaft 33, an intermediate member 26 pivoted at 25 to the feed drive member 25, a support member 31 which carries a feed dog 22 and one end of which is pivoted at 29 to one end of the intermediate member 26, and a rotary cam-shaft 8 carrying a first cam 9 engaging the intermediate member 26 on the side of pivot 25 remote from pivot 29, and a second cam 10 engaging the support member 31, the cams being adapted to push members 26 and 31 apart for raising the feed dog 21 and to allow members 26 and 31 to approach each other for lowering the feed dog. The arrangement is such that the feed dog remains horizontal during its movements. Shaft 8 may be moved axially to disengage the cams from the members 26 and 31 for immobilizing the feed.
