Abstract
915,021. Valve oscillating circuits. THOMAS INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION Ltd. July 15, 1959 [July 15, 1958; Aug. 1, 1958], Nos. 22628/58 and 24839/58. Class 40 (6). [Also in Group XXXVI] An oscillator used in an electronic proximity switch (see Group XXXVI) comprises a valve 1 with its grid connected via condenser 6 and grid leak 7 to a tap on a grid circuit inductance 5 and its cathode connected via bias resistor 9 to a tap on a cathode circuit inductance 8. The two inductances are tuned to the same frequency and coupled together by a top capacity coupling, the condenser being included in a plug-in probe unit 2, 4. The first Provisional Specification shows a valve of screengrid type as oscillator.
