Abstract

913,396. Window &c. frames. FRESCHI, V. April 10, 1961 [April 9, 1960], No. 12861/61. Class 20 (3). A window or door &c. frame is made up from aluminium or plastic extruded members 10, 20 having the sections shown comprising the inner members 20 constituted by parallel sides 21, 22 each having outwardly directed pieces 24, 25 meeting the sides 12, 11 of the outer member 10 and the ends 26, 27 of the sides 21, 22 are shaped to engage the grooved portions 15, 16 of the sides 12, 11. The member 10 has also grooved portions 17, 18 to accommodate a weather &c. strip 35 of synthetic resin, rubber, &c. The sides 11, 12 may be connected at the ends 14 or at the portions 15, 16 and the sides 21, 22 are connected by a cross piece 23. The meeting members 10 of the upper and lower sashes have an additional member 40 connected to the sides 11, 12 by a continuation of the end 14 and the members 40 and side 11 have inwardly directed flanges 42 to retain in the channel space thus formed, packing of felt &c. 34. Glass panels 31, 32 are retained by Z-section glazing strips 33 sandwiched between the members 10, 20 and separated by viscous packing material 36.
