Abstract
913,034. Moulding hollow articles. SOC. GENERALE DES EAUX MINERALES DE VITTEL. July 20, 1961 [July 25, 1960], No. 26355/61. Class 87(2). [Also in Group XVII] In the moulding of boxes and the like from agglomerated materials (e.g. wood shavings and a binder) the material 6 is placed in a deformable casing 7 and the casing then introduced into a mould cavity and subjected to heat and pressure. As shown, the mould comprises a core 1, movable walls 2 and a punch 5. The casing 7 may be made of materials (e.g. synthetic resins or resin impregnated cloth) which on heating combine with the composition 6 and form an outer protective surface.
