An agricultural machine such as a seed sewer is provided with two outer frames which project on both sides of a main frame when in a working position and are adapted to be swung through half a revolution about inclined axes 6 arranged in front of or behind running wheels 9 into a transport position parallel to the working position. As shown a control shaft 25, 27 for raising the working tools is provided with a joint, the axis 26 of which, with the tools in the raised position is in alignment with the axis of rotation 6 of the outer frame but is in skewed relation with the axis 6 when the tools are in a working position (as shown) thereby preventing pivoting of the outer frame about its axis of rotation 6 except when the tools are in the raised position.
