Abstract

911,622. Winding toroidal cores. CESKO. SLOVENSKA AKADEMIE VED NO.3. Sept. 16, 1961, No. 33289/61. Class 83 (4). A shuttleless winding-machine for toroidal magnetic cores, in which the wire to be wound on the core is carried by two supporting rollers, the supply bundle of such wire passing only through the opening in the toroidal core, ineludes a movable pick-up roller, adjacent the supporting rollers, which serves for picking up the wire from the supply bundle by engaging the wire during its movement and taking it off both supporting rollers in succession, whereupon after the wire has slipped off the pick-up roller the latter passes outside the opening in the toroidal core back to its initial position, a separating member provided in the opening of the toroidal core being intended to separate the wire of the completed turn from the supply bundle. Wire 1 is first wound over rollers 2 and 3 to run through an annular core 4. The end of the wire is then secured to the core 4. A roller 6, on the end of a lever 8 moved by crank means 9, 10, then moves in a double elliptical path so that a wire strand, separated from bundle passing over the rollers 2, 3 by a finger 5 extending through the core 4, is taken off the roller 2 and then off the roller 3 by the roller 6 which thus lays it around the outside of the core. The roller 2 is driven through a slipping clutch 16 to maintain tension in the wire and, as the wire slips off the roller 6 at 19, to pull it through the core 4. A pair of resilient clamp members 7, Fig. 6, prevent slackening of turns already wound. The turns may be counted.
