Abstract
911,271. Washing gases. SVENSKA FLATFABRIKEN A.B. April 10, 1961, No. 12900/61. Class 55 (2). Gas to be cleaned is passed downwardly through a chamber 6, sprayed with liquid at 7, and passes laterally through a filter 9 which has its inner surface sprayed with liquid from nozzles 11 so that the impurities pass into a tank 1a of the washing liquid. A pump 5 may recirculate the liquid to spray 7 and the nozzles 11 may be fed, through pipe 12, with the makeup liquid required as determined by float level regulator 13, a chemically active solvent being added to dissolve solid deposits from the filter 9.
