A brassiere frame comprising separate or connected arcuate members extending around the lower edges of the breast cups is formed of strip material of cross-section having a convex surface 2 nearer the wearer's body, a plane or convex outer surface, and rounded edges having a smaller radius than the convex surfaces. A frame comprising connected arcuate members may be slightly bowed or the two members may lie in planes at an angle to each other. The strip material is springy steel with a nylon or other plastic covering.
