909,329. Games. NEW ARABIAN SUPPLIES CO. (LONDON) Ltd. (Kfoury, E. P.). Aug. 1, 1961, No. 27791/61. Class 132 (2). A captive-ball game comprises a ball 22 tethered to a post 10 by means of a cord 21, the free end of which is attached to a ring 20 adapted to slide round a helical member 16 screwed on to a rod 13 which is telescopically adjustable relative to the post 10. The opposing players and teams partaking in the game endeavour to strike the ball, using bats, so as to cause the ring 20 to move in opposite directions along the helix 16, points being scored when the ring reaches either end of the helix. The helix is painted in three different colours along its length, to give a ready indication of the progress of the ring along it. The plate 11 serves to limit the penetration of the post into the ground.
