Abstract

908,701. Cathode-ray tube circuits. PHILIPSELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Jan. 14, 1959 [Jan. 14, 1958; July 7, 1958], No. 1385/59. Class 40 (7). Television receiver line deflection output valve 4 is stabilized against H.T. voltage V b variation by a circuit 5 and the ensuing constant voltage V c across booster diode 6 capacitor 9 is fed to resistance-capacitance sawtooth generator 10, 15, the latter capacitor being discharged to the H.T. voltage by frame frequency synchronizing pulses applied to normally cut off valve 13; hence the amplitude of sawtooth 16 which controls the frame deflection output valve is constant. The generated E.H.T. voltage V h for the picture tube final anode is likewise constant. To avoid excessive heater-cathode voltage in valve 13 potentiometer circuits may be included, one of which is connected between the H.T. point and earth with is tapping connected to valve 13 cathode. The sawtooth generator may be fed by separate rectification of pulses from line output transformer 7; and valve 13 circuit may be a triggered blocking oscillator.
