Abstract

908,413. Transportable tower cranes. SCHWERMASCHINENBAU S.M. KIROW VEB. Sept. 22, 1960, No. 32572/60. Class 78 (4). When a rotatable tower crane is to be transported by road a front set of steerable roadwheels 7 is connected to a pair of horizontallyswinging arms 3 and a rear set of non-steerable wheels is connected to a similar pair of arms 3 at the rear of a crane platform 1. As described, either or both sets of road wheels may be attached to the ends of the arms instead of at positions intermediate the ends of the arms as shown. In each embodiment a draw-bar 5 and a steering link 6 are provided.
