Abstract
The invention comprises the sulphide- and sulphoxide-containing thiophosphoric esters of the following formulae <FORM:0907475/IV (b)/1> They may be prepared by reacting the corresponding substituted phenol, as an alkali metal salt or in the presence of an acid binding agent, with an appropriate O,O-dialkyl thionophosphoric acid halide and, if desired, oxidising sulphide groups to sulphoxides in known manner. The products are pesticides.ALSO:Insecticidal compositions contain a sulphide or sulphoxide-containing thiophosphoric acid ester of one of the following formul <FORM:0907475/VI/1> together with a carrier, e.g. talc, chalk, bentonite or clay as solid carrier or water or an organic solvent as liquid carrier. The composition being in the form of aerosols, dusts or sprays.
