907,155. Intermeshing screw pumps. IMOINDUSTRI A.B. Feb. 3, 1960 [Feb. 3, 1959], No. 3854/60. Class 110 (2). In a rotary pump of the intermeshing screw type comprising three intermeshing rotors, the middle rotor 1 is provided with a milled portion 13 which extends along the length of the outer edges of the trailing flanks in order to establish limited communication between the inlet and outlet zones, thereby reducing noise and vibrations. In a modification, the concave thread flanks of the side screws are grooved for like purposes.
