Abstract

A polyethylene plastic material, e.g. a polyethylene film, contains an ethanolamide of lauric acid in order to reduce the tendency of the material to accumulate electrostatic charges. Preferably the diethanolamide of lauric acid, e.g. in the form of the diethanolamide of coconut fatty acids, is used. Optional ingredients are carbon black and unspecified pigments, dyes, antioxidants, and anti-block and slip additives.
