A holder for a tetrahedron-shaped container comprises a support surface 1,.- a supporting means attached to the surface 1 and with at least three support points not in a straight line, a handle 2, and means for securing the container to the holder. The holder, made of plastics material or metal plate, comprises a fold 4 for securing the container and a rest 3 with side stops 12. The angle # is preferably 40 degrees, but may be from 25 degrees to 60 degrees. The angle between the members 1 and 3 is preferably more than 55 degrees. When the container is in position in the holder a corner may be cut off to enable the device to be used as a jug. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), the holder is made of a single piece of wire, and bends in the wire of the support surface are provided in order to hold a corner and an edge of the container.
