Abstract

A process for preparing copolyamides comprises reacting a mixture of piperazinium monoadipate and hexamethylene diammonium adipate until a fusible highly polymeric product is formed, said piperazinium adipate being present in an amount of at least 30% by weight of the mixture. Four examples of the production of the polymers of the invention are given.
